Well, so glad you could join me!
Welcome to my website that celebrates the intriguing people of the south and events that make life so interesting. Having written for a number of Mississippi newspapers and magazines over the years, I've covered a lot of topics and events. My personal favorites, however, tend to be human interest stories and artisans who share their incredible talents.
Often I'm asked where I get my story ideas. Though there are a few assignments thrown in, the majority of topics come from listening to friends, neighbors, and pretty much anyone who will engage in conversation with me.
During your pass through this website, you'll notice that most of the stories are gleaned from my beloved Magnolia state. From the former tow boat captain turned world renown chainsaw carver to the doucer who finds graves with the aid of swinging metal sticks to the Gypsies who bring trinkets to their beloved Queen's grave for the favor of answering questions in their dreams, the stories will eventually appear here. I've even thrown in a few articles from my personal viewpoint just for good measure.
If you'd like to share ideas with me, feel free to do so. You can contact me at joquinn14@yahoo.com.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know some of those who help make life oh, so incredibly wonderful!
